From our day-to-day service through to the way we dispose of our waste, every decision respects this guiding principle.

Closing the loop: a circular approach

• We recycle oil, glass, plastics and all food waste.

• We use 99% commercially compostable disposable products and participate in the Kai to Compost service.

• Food waste is collected daily and delivered to the Wellington City Council’s commercial composting facility, mixed with green waste and turned into nutrient-rich compost.

• Our packaging supplier, Innocent Packaging, specialises in plant-based compostable products—and by using them we ensure our materials are taken to the right place, not the general waste or recycling bin.

Because every little bit helps us honour our roots and our whenua. By choosing compostable materials, recycling diligently and taking part in commercial compost services, we live our value of manaaki—caring for people, planet and place.
